UWO vs Laurier November 7th 2009 OUA Semifinal Game

I recently got the chance to photograph the University of Western Ontario Mustangs during their OUA semifinal playoff game vs. the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.  The Mustangs went on to defeat the Golden Hawks 26-16 advancing to the Yates Cup.  The Mustangs are attempting to win their thrid consecutive Yates Cup.  For a full game report please head to the Western Mustangs Official Website.

University of Western Ontario Mustangs quarterback Michael Faulds (3) releases the ball during the first quarter of the Ontario University Athletics semifinal playoff game against the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.  Faulds went 14/29 on the day amassing 238 yards of passing.  During the regular season Faulds took the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) career passing title with 10,811 career yards over 5 years.  Faulds passed for 3,033 yards during the 2009 season setting the record for single-season passing in the CIS.  The Mustangs went on to defeat the Golden Hawks 26-16 at University Stadium, Waterloo, ON, CA, November 7th 2009.
