Interior Painting Photos

I recently completed some work for Niagara painter Alexander Rasmussen.  The goal was to combine his paintings with house interiors to create a unique look for his website (to be completed soon).

Here is what we came up with.

CIS East West Bowl 2010

The University of Western Ontario hosted The Canadian Interuniversity Sport East West Bowl at TD Waterhouse Stadium on Saturday May 8th 2010.  Both teams made the best of the conditions providing for an entertaining game despite the rain, snow, freezing rain and wind gusts that were able to blow the nearby soccer nets at least 6ft across the running track.

Here is the Western Mustangs game summary www.westernmustangs.ca

Two officials run with the protective padding for the uprights to put it back on the post after it blew to roughly the 30 yard line during one of the wind gusts.

The referee fights a losing battle trying to keep the ball dry with a towel before play resumes.

The Molson Canadian sign blows across the field after breaking loose from it's strapping during a wind gust.

It wasn't only the players that had to battle with the elements.  This group of fans was sharing a laugh over the constant struggle to keep the umbrellas right side out.

Thanks for looking.

Tundra Swans at the Aylmer Wildlife Management Area

I was at the Aylmer Wildlife Management Area (AWMA) on Wednesday March 17 2010 to get a glimpse of the mass migration of tundra swans.  The swans stop off at the AWMA to rest and feed on corn during their trip that will take them from the Eastern U.S. all the way up to the Mackenzie Delta.   The numbers are expected to peak between March 18-21 this year with a maximum of 6000 swans appearing per day.

More information can be found at the following websites:Discover Southern Ontario / Naturally Elgin / London Free Press Article

Directions from the London Free Press article:

UWO vs UIOT Jack Frost Cup 2010

I had the chance to photograph the 3rd annual Jack Frost Cup at the John Labatt Center in London, Ontario.  The UWO Mustangs handily defeated the UIOT Ridgebacks 4-1.

With the help and guidance of friend and colleague Craig Glover we managed to set up a remote camera above the net for me to trigger during the game.

For a full game report please go to www.westernmustangs.ca

There was a little traffic in front of the net...
